Peanut's Birthday

Well...our little peanut turned 4 on the 23rd of August....I am so sad he is already 4 but I am loving his age right now I wish I could just stay right here forever. He is so enjoyable and such a fun kid. Before we had Tyson I never thought I could love another kid as much as I loved Nate & now I just can't get enough of him. We started off the day by going to Barnes and Noble to pick out his birthday book. A little tradition I started with Tyson for the past couple years is that every year on his birthday we go to the book store, play with the trains & pick out a book or two that he wants. This year since his birthday was on a Saturday we got to go with Jason & Nate..which made our trip to the book store a bit shorter than usual but we still had fun.

We asked him what he wanted to do on his birthday & he was determined to go swimming. Bob and Connie were gracious enough to let us use their pool & Tyson got his fair share of rides from dad & playing cars on the steps.

We came back home & had pizza, presents & cake with the Garretts. Tyson absoultely adores Ellie. He was so glad that Ellie - Seph (Seth) & Tate got to come share his birthday with us. After we were done with presents we went outside for a water balloon fight (toss). It was an eventful day & we think a good one for our not so little guy.... :-)

Nate...getting a little more brave each time we swim. I think he is finally getting used to the water. His swimming has improved a lot this year.

This picture was funny with the casual smile on Tyson's face & Nate's extactic look in the backround....he definitely has benefited from Tyson's birthday gifts!

To explain Tyson's cake...it is a dirt road race track...same style of cake I made for Nate's birthday...thank you Rand for letting me steal your idea :-)
tyson was very specific with what he wanted..a lightning mcqueen cake with a mini cooper on it with green frosting. He's pretty easy to please so far. I'm glad for that because I'm not too creative with making cakes!

This was too cute to pass up....how can you have a birthday without a birthday kiss from your favorite cutie!?

Happy Birthday to peanut! Lucy loves peanut too. The cake is fabulous Denise--you are one talented chickita. Must teach me 101 course on cake decorating...
