Labor Day Weekend!!!

Labor Day Weekend we went to the Arizona Grand Resort...it was our first time there & we loved it! It has an awesome water park with 3 water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, kiddie pool & a regular pool. It was the best resort we have stayed at here in AZ so far!

The kids had fun but the best day was Labor Day when the Garretts came, the kids actually had friends to play with & Nate went down the waterslide! Woohoo! When he was about 5 yrs old we went to Water World & I made Nate go down the water slide with me. Let's just say that the whole water park probably heard him screaming...it was something I told him that I wanted him to try once & if he didn't like it we wouldn't make him do it again. So..it only took 4 years to get him back on! LOL! Once he saw everyone go down the water slide & still come out alive...he decided he would try it. He liked it so much he went down again...and again...and again...

They have a restaraunt nearby called the Rustlers Rooste, it was really a fun place. They had a bull outside, a slide inside that the kids could go on, a balloon artist for the kids & a live band. There wasn't much selection as far as food goes but what we ordered was good and the kids were entertained so that made it worth it!

On Sunday we got up & went down to the visitors center at the Mesa Temple & watched the Joseph Smith movie. Tyson is still a bit young but Nate really enjoyed it. We were the only ones in the theatre & the spirit was so strong. It is a good reminder of some of the things Joseph Smith and the Saints endured. I know that living in today's world is not easy but I definitely would not have wanted to trade places. The hardships they faced were more than terrible...I wonder if I would have been strong enough to endure. The visitors center is such a neat place to visit and it was so nice to have Nate there. He is at such an impressionable age, the more spiritual experiences we can help him have now, I hope will prepare him for those awful teenager years...
