Black Widow....

So...we must have a problem with black widows. We had one right by our front door for a long time until our home teacher killed it. Thankfully! We had another one outside on our patio under our chair...not sure where that one went. Then...one evening last week I went out to the backyard & found this black widow. The picture...does not do it justice but...you get the gist of it.


For some reason most spiders don't bother me...it's the cockroaches & the scorpions that freak me out. So had this been a cockroach or a scorpian I would not have been so brave. Last year when we went to the state fair we bought a "bug zapper". It is the my pride & joy. This thing will kill bees, scorpions, cocroaches...basically any kind of bug you can think of. Since I am deathly afriad of bees...this is perfect for me & infact I have killed a couple of them already with this thing. It is seriously one of the best purchases we have ever made.

Basically it looks just like a tennis racket only there is a button on the side and when you're ready to kill something...(not to be used on your kids or spouse...) then you press it and it electrocutes it. Let me just tell you that we have killed bees & a scorpion with this thing & the black widow by far took the longest. But...it worked & I can rest with ease until the bug guy comes again. Oh...how grateful I am for this bug zapper because I definitely would not have been able to kill it with my shoe!
