Boating Summer 2013

This year we had actually sold our last years boat and got a different one. I was thrilled with the switch because the previous boat we had although it allowed for a big wake in the back to be able to "surf" behind the boat, it was a horrible ride and we got soaked more than a few times because it sat so low into the water. We had so many problems with it last year that we weren't able to take it out very much unfortunately.

We had high hopes of this newer, bigger boat being the one that we could make memories on. Let's just say that when we took it out the first time, all was going well until we were getting ready to leave and it wouldn't start back up. Seriously not this again. Yup...4 months it took of being in and out of the shop to finally figure out what was wrong and be able to fix it. We are hoping for a better season next year :-).

We did have some fun times this summer, although they were not as often as we would have liked, we still were able to enjoy some fun out on the lake. Here are a few of the highlights of our boating excursions. Our favorite (not that we don't love our children but they haven't quite got into the boating experience yet so sometimes it's a bit painful to bring them along) was when our friend's Mike and Amy came into town and we went boating while the kids were in school.
