Work Party

Last year we decided it would be better to have our Christmas party for work at our house instead of at a restaurant. Including our family and those that we invite, there are about 19 people total...which gets a little tricky trying to fit that many people at a table in a restaurant. It gets super tricky trying to fit all those people around a table at our house but we have managed to make it work so far. :-) We feel like this is a great time to get everyone out of the work environment and to have some fun. We also want this to be a time that honors our employees and those that help our business grow. We appreciate all those that work for us in and out of the daily grind, we truly couldn't do this without them.

Thankfully Jason doesn't make me cook for that many people :-). We always make sure to have hot chocolate, treats and my cheeseball but the main course is catered in from a lady whose daughter I taught in dance a few years ago. She is a great cook and we really appreciate her help these past two years. I wish we would have taken pictures of the food and the table but we were so pressed for time it completely slipped our minds...next year for sure.

Jason and I wore our ugly Christmas sweaters as a joke because we wanted to see what his employees reactions would be. We got mixed reactions (some said "What are you wearing?!" and some stayed quiet...not quite sure what we had going on!) but by the end of the night three of the couples actually put the sweaters on and took pictures in them.

We played our favorite "What if" and "Then" game which the kids got to participate in this time and poor Billy (our Operations Manager) got the brunt of all the jokes that night but thankfully he was a good sport about it. We then played our Christmas Trivia which tradition we started last year. Although it was an intense battle with a few tie breakers between John & Tamar and Billy, Darnell & Tyson...the winners this year were John (Jason's dad who helps us TONS with our marketing) and Tamar who is our customer service representative in our Paker office.

We had such a great time and appreciate so much our employees making the drive out to our house (Tamar and her husband live in Parker so they had to drive a few hours to come). We are so lucky to have such amazing and wonderful people to work with.
