Nate is such a night owl...he was awake passed 12:30 in the morning last night. This has been going on for a while now and I'm not quite sure what to do about it because you can't force a kid to fall asleep! If it was every once and a while I could give him something to help him sleep but every night?! I seriously hope he grows out of it. Regardless of the time he falls asleep he still gets up just fine for school...so there he was up a t 7:45 this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed! I couldn't believe it. I am hoping with getting him up earlier he will not stay up so late....one can only hope right?!
We went to see Nate at lunch today (I am so grateful that he still even let's me come!). After lunch the kids went out for recess...I kid you not....5 minutes later the teacher was blowing her whistle for the kids to line up. I could not believe it! Those poor kids looked so confused! It was bad enough they went to 10 minute recess last year but now 5? I really hope this was just for today because those kids need time to run around! Nate so far is not too happy with being in 4th grade. We had an absoultely amazing teacher last year and I don't know that he will ever get a teacher that good again. Hopefully he will get used to this teacher though. I'm crossing my fingers for a good school year with little homework! LOL! One can hope right?
Nate....with his usual cute cheesy grin
Nate, Andrew & Keaton Jensen....loaded up with full back packs & huge grins!

I'm right there with you. I hate to have my boys go back to school. For all the same reasons. Both boys were sick the 1st day, Noah home today sick again, so I haven't had to let them both go yet, I am dredding it.
Cute pictures!
Wow, 4th grade. He's getting old. I'm going to have to deal with missing my little girl all day long for the first time in about 3 more weeks! It will be a weird transition for me from having her all the time to her being gone from 9:30-3:30 at Kindergarten!
It looks like you guys had a lot of fun at the cabin. I'm glad you got to see grandma and grandpa. I hope I can get out their in the near future!
Well, good luck with the no homework thing. :)
