September/October Highlights!

Where does the time go?! I am already thinking about Christmas! Well...let's face it my brain really never stops thinking about Christmas. :-) These past two months have been busy as usual. Here are some of the highlights....

In September we started soccer! Jason, Billy and Rich are coaching the 6-8 yr olds this year. We have a fun team and Tyson has really come out of his shell this year so it has been really enjoyable to watch him grow. He has been playing since he was 5 yrs old and really enjoys it. We are going to try putting him in basketball in January so we will see how that goes! We only have 2 games left in the season...just as it starts cooling off finally. :-) Here are a few pics from this season.

Surely one of the highlights of my year is a girls trip to California with 2 days of straight shopping! We went to Tai Pan (love that store!), a home decorating store and a full day of antique shopping in Riverside. I had so much fun and am grateful to a loving hubby who lets me go each year. :-)

Although this looks like a lot of stuff...we were all VERY mild compared to other years. I unfortunately developed a conscience this trip and ended up putting several things back. I know my dear hubby was very happy about that. :-)

These signs were at one of the antique shops...just loved this one. I will neither admit nor deny using this phrase. :-)

One of my favorite decorating stores...aisles and aisles full of fun stuff!

My parents came to visit for Tyson's baptism. We started off the weekend at a resort (Notice Nate...is becoming a full fledge teen...yes he won't let me take pictures of him anymore! So I have to catch him when he's not looking :-) ) We were able to do some fun things while they were here, including swimming, a little time out on the lake, a few movies, games and walks in the beatiful weather we are having!

Boating...yes my mom is wearing a jacket. It just so happened to be cooler out that day! Go figure..

Sneaking a pic in of the Nate dog...

This was hilarious. I was dying laughing at this one. At the resort Nate and Tyson thought it would be funny to "make noises" at the golfers that came by. Notice my dad on the far left. He is a kid at heart. Although he denies making noises I think this picture clearly catches him in the act!

Tyson earned his Bobcat award at this month's pack meeting. With the bobcat award the scout gets to pin a "mother's pin" on their mom. I think it's cute! Tyson enjoys scouts and we have fun working on scout stuff together. It's always nice when your kids like something that is good! :-)

The highlight of our year this year has been Tyson getting baptized! Tyson was baptized this past Saturday, October 13th at 11:15. We were so lucky to have such a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful, we had all our immediate family there and some close friends. We got to share the special day with the Binghams who are in our ward. We absolutely adore their family! It was fun to be able to share that special day with them.
