First Day of School

I can't believe that summer flew by so fast! It's crazy how fast 2 months goes...it's far to short if you ask me. When I grew up we didn't start school until the day after Labor Day, I wish we could go back to that but we'd have to move to Minnesota and that definitely won't happen. :-)

I should have taken a picture of the school today, it was the worst I have ever seen it with cars and people...it was an added bonus that it was 110 degrees outside, if we had a pool I would have come straight home and jumped in with my clothes on I was so hot!

It was so sad leaving peanut at school so sad in fact I had to spend my afternoon at my two favorite stores just to distract me. :-) But...he's in the same class as his best friend Carter this year so he is super excited. Tyson said he had a good day but that school is long. I don't blame him...it is long! I think he was extra tired today though because he didn't fall asleep until after 11 last night. Poor kid, boy do I remember those days, lying in my bed the night before school started, it's a bit nerve racking.

It is sad to say that Tyson is already at the age where parents aren't that cool anymore. I had to convince him that other mom's and dad's would be walking their kids to classrooms today as he was convinced he might be the only one...what a stinker. I I went to visit him at lunch time and got to hear at least about the 1st half of his day. As much as you can get out of a 7 yr old boy that is. :-) We have been so lucky to have great teachers and go to a great school. I'm hoping this teacher will be as good as ones we've had so far.

As for Nate, he has decided to go back to school but he didn't decide that until this past Thursday evening. We are going to try to get him into Paradise Education Center, but right now there are over 25 kids on the waiting list so it may be a while. In the mean time he will be continuing online school and we'll hope he gets into PEC soon! I will have to say though he is great to have at home, he is great company (unless we are doing math...lol).

Every day I thank my Father in Heaven for being blessed with the 2 children we have. We are so lucky and love them so much!
