This was pretty cool...I have never seen this in action before. This is where they would fix the horses shoes, etc.
There was about 75 lumberjacks & 1 cook with 2 assistants...they had to make three meals a day and got paid $50 a month! The cook worked from about 3 am until late at night. I'm not quite sure I'd be so willing to do that!
Ok...this is the pooper...yes...the pooper. Apprently they would wake up in the morning & take shifts 8 at a time all on the same log...gross.
Here is where they slept (two to a bunk). They couldn't bathe, shower or wash their clothes so you can imagine how awful the smell must have been.
They had a little place inside where you could look around, a few movies to watch about the lumerjacks & some fun things for the kids to look at. All in all...it was worth an afternoon there! Not sure we'll go back anytime soon but it was a fun adventure for this year!

After seeing your comment on my blog, I thought..hmm I wonder if Denise is blogging again...YEAH! you're back =) So fun to see all your adventures! looks like fun. I have to say, you look great with that GIANT leaf as a collar. =) Your family is so cute, hate that I don't see you much anymore! Enjoy that cold weather, they reported AZ as to having the HOTTEST July ever! Aug. has been hot too. =) Travel back safe!
